Adobe Systems, famous for its multimedia and creativity software products has recently signed an agreement with Magento to buy e-commerce CMS Magento. The Magento platform will bring together Digital Commerce, Order Management and Predictive intelligence into a unified commerce platform which will enable shopping experience across a wide range of industries. Adobe buys Magento for $1.68 billion.

Adobe buys Magento to diversify from the digital media products that made it one of the world’s largest software companies. This is the third biggest acquisition of Adobe. This would help the Photoshop software provider to create an end to end system for designing Digital designs, Building e-commerce website, Digital Ads and completing transactions.
As per the deal, which is expected to be signed in the third quarter, Mark Laveller, CEO of Magento would lead Magneto as part of Adobe’s digital experience

Adobe to compete with Salesforce, Oracle and SAP
