Android O may be named as ORIO

Google released beta version of Android ‘O’ the latest version, in the last week of July for testing purpose. It is understood through reliable sources that the final build of Android O may be released on August 21st and the suspense about the name of the new version will be revealed. The Google Pixel device will get the new Android O on 21st August and other devices with compatibility too may get updated on same day.


New Android name

The Google devices which received the Android O developer preview release are Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C. So owners of these devices are eagerly waiting for the original version update from Android. Mr.Jagadeesh proud owner of Nexus 5X, says “Yes Iam excited and eagerly waiting for the update” he continued “More than the new features, I am eager to know the name of the new version” As for the Android O name, although Google did not confirm the name, a Few predictions are floating around like Oreo, Orelletes, Oatmeal Cookie, Oliebol and Ontbijtkoek. Out of these, Oreo seems to be clear favorite by many experts. If you wonder that Oreo is not a Desert name and it’s a Brand name, yes you are correct. But don’t you remember that Google named its Android version 4.4 as Kitkat another brand name. So Google may sync up with Oreo as in the case of Kitkat.

The new Android version will focus on new features in two major areas “Fluid Experiences” and “Vitals”. Picture-in-picture is the major development in ‘Fluid Experiences’ used for multitasking which lets you use two apps at the same time. One app may be in full screen and another app in small floating window. Regarding Vitals, faster performance and few security features which will scan freshly downloaded app on your phone for security threats.
